Moiré

Throughout my discussion about the Fujifilm system, I make frequent references to Moiré.

Moiré is a particularly important  phenomenon to avoid in architectural photography due to the frequency of patterns found in the built environment. Some examples are:

  • Railing pickets
  • Siding
  • Brick
  • Louvers
  • Window mullions

    • This video shows a way to reduce or remove moire, but it always reduces either the image quality, or the saturation.
